Jupiter Health Spearwood is a mixed billing practice.

This means there is usually an out-of-pocket cost (gap payment) for your appointment. The gap is the difference between the Medicare rebate and the consultation fee set by the doctor, which may vary depending on the complexity of your visit.

Access to healthcare is very important to us. Therefore, we will continue to bulk bill the following patients:

Please note:
All appointments booked on weekends and public holidays are privately billed, with no bulk billing available on these days.

Kindly note private fees apply to all patients for certain doctors’ appointments, procedures, services not covered under Medicare and speciality appointments. A discount will be included for patients with a valid health care or concession card and patients under 12 years old or patients over 75 years old. If you are unsure if these fees apply to your appointment, please contact the practice on 089434 0100 for further information.

From 1st August 2026, our consultation fees will be increasing to:

(Weekdays before 8:00am, Saturdays after 01:00pm & all-day Sundays)

Please note you must have attended the practice within the last 12 months to qualify for a telehealth visit claimable from Medicare. Phone consultations for New patients will be privately billed (non-claimable from Medicare) and there is no telehealth consultations available on weekends or public holidays

We understand that occasionally a patient will be unable to make a scheduled appointment due to unforeseen circumstances. If such unforeseen circumstances arise, please contact the Practice at least 2 hours prior to your appointment time to cancel or re-schedule your appointment. We have patients on a wait list each day so by providing us with notice we can then allocate the cancelled appointment to another patient in need.
If you fail to give the required cancellation notice or do not attend, our practice policy is to charge a non-attendance fee of $50 for a standard appointment or $100 for an extended appointment, these fees are non-claimable from Medicare.

We welcome walk-ins however a fee maybe incurred to accommodate the patient. Normally, we require people to make an appointment. Priority is given to people who have made a booking. Walk -Ins will incur fees.

Some consultations or procedures are not fully covered by Medicare and may incur an out-of-pocket gap fee.
